Even the most ardent fish skeptics will be won over by this Baja fish taco recipe. Crispy beer battered cod filets wrapped in a flour tortilla with fresh salsa and a spicy white sauce for the ideal taco night! For another weeknight supper winner, try our Bacon and Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast! My favorite tacos are fish tacos. That's not to say I don't enjoy chicken, beef, or shrimp tacos, but if I have a choice, it's always fish. This fish taco recipe is bursting with flavor. Everything from the soft white fish to the zesty taco slaw and the fresh salsa loaded with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, red onion, jalapeño, and lime will have you coming back for more. In this fish taco dish, we used Cod fillets, but you could use any number of white fish species if you prefer. Snapper, mahi-mahi, grouper, flounder, and halibut are among alternatives.

This is the ultimate comfort food! Home cooking is all about Hamburger Casserole. I call it Hamburger Hotdish in the Midwest, but no one understands what I'm talking about, so casserole it is. Try my Tater Tot Hotdish (casserole) if you like casseroles! This Hamburger Casserole dish is simple to prepare, allowing you to have a hot meal on the table quickly without sacrificing time with your family. It is quite flexible and can feed a large population. Even the most picky eaters will enjoy it. What's not to like? Another added benefit? Some claim that this is even better the next day. Leftovers are a rarity around here (especially since I have five growing children!). As a result, I'll have to accept your word for it.My preferred method for freezing a casserole is to bake it in a disposable foil pan OR to line the casserole dish with foil before filling it. If you bake it in a disposable pan, you may freeze it as usual. Prepare your ingredients and set them in the pan if using the foil method. (DO NOT COOK!) Place the entire pan in the freezer for 2 hours to solidify before removing. Wrap the casserole tightly in plastic wrap and set it in a big freezer-safe plastic storage bag. In this form, it stacks easily in the freezer! Make a note of it and label it as well. When you're ready to bake, take it out of the freezer and let it thaw overnight. If you need to bake it quickly, place it in a covered casserole dish for 15 minutes at 350°F. Bake for the full baking time after removing the foil off the top (or carefully peeling it back). (This usually takes around 30 minutes.) If the casserole has thawed, remove the plastic wrap, uncover the top, and bake as directed.

Rosemary and brown sugar Roasted Carrots are a year-round family favorite. This recipe is especially delicious in the fall and winter since the rosemary is earthy, cozy, and the ideal companion to a carrot! This dish goes great with Crock Pot Ham or Honey Baked Ham!Carrots are a favorite in our house. We all enjoy them in any form you offer them. This dish for roasted carrots is one of our favorites since the roasting procedure brings out the carrots' inherent sweetness. We prefer to use large organic carrots or, if feasible, carrots from our own garden. They have a lot of flavor and don't have as much of the other nasty things that comes from pesticides. Some individuals choose to prepare roasted baby carrots. You may still create these if you like the smaller bite-sized version! The cooking time may vary somewhat, but the procedure remains the same! Some people, on the other hand, prefer to cook the carrots whole, without slicing them. The procedure is the same as before, however the cooking time will differ. You'll need to bake them for a long time, and I'd recommend lowering the oven temperature to avoid burning the edges. This incredibly sweet side dish just takes five minutes to prepare. Carrots should be peeled and sliced. Toss together brown sugar, water, olive oil, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Perfection is simple! This is all placed in a baking dish and cooked until the carrots are soft. Slow roasting them allows the natural sugars in the carrots to blend with the brown sugar and herb mixture. Keep an eye on the cooking time; if you're making them as a side dish, opening and closing the oven might drastically impact the cooking time. If you notice the edges burning, it's time to remove them. Also, if at all feasible, cook these in a single layer. It produces an even cooking space, resulting in deliciously tender carrots!

World’s WORST Stuffing Recipe

Looking for a delicious, flavorful, and visually appealing homemade stuffing recipe for your holiday table? You've come to the correct location! But you might be wondering how it gained the moniker "World's WORST Stuffing." Continue reading, my friend. So you came here seeking for a GOOD stuffing recipe, correct? You've come to the correct location. This stuffing recipe has been refined over many years of trial and error, as well as comments from family and friends. It all started when I hosted my first Thanksgiving many years ago. I'd never done it before, had no idea what I was doing, and depended primarily on pre-packaged solutions, such as stuffing. I cooked the stuffing exactly as the package said and delivered it to a table full of hungry family members, all of whom were expecting homemade. When they tried it, the sight on their faces was priceless... they were less than impressed. (To be fair, it was dry and tasteless.) “This stuffing is the WORST!” exclaimed one of my cousins. I laughed because I didn't know what else to do. We all done it! Then we all devised a strategy for making the world's BEST stuffing. Everyone shared their favorite aspect of stuffing... We talked about everything: the moisture, the cranberries, the bacon, the celery, the flavor, the sort of bread... It's even down to the pan you'll use to cook it in. That's how this recipe came to be. When the family arrived the following year, they joked, "Are we going to have the worst stuffing this year?" Everyone agreed after trying the new homemade recipe. It was the very best! I'm still getting requests for my "worst stuffing in the world," and I'm happy to provide!

Mashed Potatoes Recipe

This Creamy Mashed Potatoes Recipe is the creamiest you've ever tried. They remind me of velvet... silky and smooth and so rich that you feel like you're in a 5 star restaurant! Just be sure to use a russet or Yukon gold potato for the most creaminess! I was hesitant when my buddy Autumn and I were making these mashed potatoes. There was no butter, but plenty of cream cheese and sour cream. How was I supposed to serve mashed potatoes to my guests without two sticks of butter?!? However, after the first bite, I was officially converted. While the “skins on” version is extremely rich, this one has a fantastically silky texture that I had not previously experienced in a homemade mashed potato. Another advantage of this recipe is how simple it is to make mashed potatoes! When it came time to mash the boiling potatoes, I was astounded at how fast they blended with the cream cheese and sour cream and developed into the wonderful creamy texture that we all desire in our mashed potatoes recipe. Normally, I would use a hand-held mixer or ricer to ensure that all of the potatoes are properly mashed, but there was no need with this recipe. The components are the other simple part... There aren't many, which makes me pleased when I'm attempting to prepare a Thanksgiving feast and have 47 things to do.

Green Bean Casserole

I was hesitant to share my family's prized Green Bean Casserole recipe because it is SO simple that some may dispute how good it is! But trust me when I say that only a few simple ingredients are required to produce this Thanksgiving traditional. In Minnesota, we've been eating it this way for as long as I can remember! We all look forward to seeing relatives around the holidays every year. The love, laughter, and delight of spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with family are the highlights of the year. But if the green bean casserole isn't on the dinner menu, the show actually comes to a halt. This is the focal point of the Thanksgiving dinner! The one dish that should never be coupled with a container of leftovers. So, how can you polish this essential side dish? I'm about to show you how. You'd think that making the pedestal that this meal stands on would be exceedingly tough. On the contrary, this meal is incredibly tough to sabotage. Yes, there are tweaks that could elevate this green bean casserole to a higher level, but messing it up is really difficult. Green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and fried onions are the major ingredients of a traditional green bean casserole. Some people add bacon, sautéed mushrooms, or even cheese to them. But the original recipe, which we cook, just includes the fundamentals, along with one specific technique for bringing out the vibrant green colors.

This Artisan Apple Bread is a favorite in our house. Perfectly baked every time (it's truly that simple!) but tastes like it came from a world-class French bakery. Don't worry, Artisan Bread is a great way to show off your baking skills!Artisan bread is best defined by who makes it. An artisan baker is a skilled craftsperson who can mix, ferment, shape, and bake a handcrafted loaf of bread. They use the science behind the chemical reactions of the components to create the best environment for the bread to develop. It can, however, also be about the science underlying the dish. It's all about the ingredients in artisan bread. They usually contain flour, yeast, water, and salt. Some people add tastes and herbs, such as apple or tomato. It is critical that every component in artisan bread be fresh and recognizable. There are no chemicals. It's almost as much joy to learn to appreciate Artisan Bread as it is to consume it. I enjoyed poring over this and other recipes, trying to learn as much as I could about the procedure and components. In terms of ingredients, I looked for the best I could find for this bread. I was able to obtain a flawless Granny Smith apple, which performed admirably in this recipe. I also bought all-purpose flour, yeast, and, of course, salt. The fundamentals for this incredible meal, and they did not disappoint!

These Gruyere Scalloped Potatoes are sure to please! Loads of gruyere cheese melt into thinly sliced Yukon gold potatoes, which are then topped with bacon and thyme. My family like scalloped potatoes, especially when they are picked fresh from the garden. I enjoy taking things up a notch and experimenting with new cheeses and flavors. I knew I wanted to use Gruyere in this recipe when I saw it on sale at the grocery store, and boy am I glad I did! The combination of gruyere, bacon, and thyme is quite amazing. (I'm thinking about trying this with chicken soon!)To get equal slices, use a mandolin. I recommend using a “thin slice” blade on your mandolin for this recipe. The way the potatoes are put out is one of the most appealing parts of this scalloped potato meal. Use your mandolin right on the cutting board to ensure you can reproduce it. If you use it over a bowl, the potatoes will separate and will not be lined up as they are in this recipe. When you're done with one potato, carefully pick it up and place it on the skillet, keeping all the slices intact. Repeat with the remaining potatoes. Once the potatoes are ensconced in the pan, gently press down on each one to slightly "fan" the slices out. You want cheese on every single slice!
