This is one of those recipes that I make a few times a season. This recipe for Easy Pumpkin Pie Bars absolutely works for yam as well. It's a truly basic approach to handily serve a bigger gathering of individuals too, as opposed to attempting to cut up a pie.

Ingridients

DIRECTIONS

01 Step

Preheat oven to 350f degrees.

02 Step

Line 11 x 7 baking pan with parchment paper.

03 Step

Unroll crescent roll dough in the bottom of the baking dish. Gently press with your fingers and push it about halfway up all the sides.

04 Step

In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl, mix together all of the other ingredients: pumpkin puree, eggs, heavy cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice and salt.

05 Step

Pour the pumpkin pie filling over dough.

06 Step

Bake on middle oven rack for about 45-55 minutes (or until the center is set.)

07 Step

Allow to cool completely before slicing (at least a couple of hours.)

08 Step

Once cooled, using the parchment paper hanging over the edges, lift it from the pan.

09 Step

Garnish each bar with a dollop of whipped cream or sprinkle with some pumpkin pie spice.

CHEF'S NOTES

To keep this basic, we are utilizing sickle move mixture as the hull. When it's totally prepared, it will not have an aftertaste like bow mixture by any means. The flavors mix with the filling so you will not taste it as a different bow batter flavor. You can utilize refrigerated pie batter or even puff baked good mixture as a substitute. A 9x9 or 8x8 square preparing dish might be fill in for the 11x7 heating dish. The bars will just come out somewhat thicker.

I started cooking as a child. My parents both worked full time and we always had a houskeeper who cleaned and looked after me and my brother. When I was 12 years old, I asked my mother if I could cook supper every night instead of the housekeeper. She agreed. She even let me make the grocery list and do the shopping - she just signed the check! Never a chore, that was the start of a hobby I am passionate about. Now, I am very confident in the kitchen and love to entertain
