The food that grandma always, always loved were shrimp and clams. Every time I would see her, which was once or twice a year, there was bound to be a batch of steamer clams or sauteed shrimp around. I would say “are you hungry grandma? What should we have?” And she would get this little smile on her face and say “Let’s have grandpa takes us to get some clams!”
Cook the noodles for 11-13 minutes (depending on the type ofnoodles)
For the sauce: mix 5 tablespoons of soy, 2 tablespoons of hotsauce, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (optional), and ¼ teaspoon of blackpepper
Sauté 4 cloves of garlic with 2 tablespoons of oil, then add 150 g of clams (previously cleaned)
Cover and let the clams open
Remove the clams
Fry the prawns in the same oil as the clams
Remove the prawns
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan where we have fried theclams and prawns, add 1/2 onion, 40 g of chives, 1 grated carrotand fry everything
Add the clams, prawns and noodles, the sauce and mix all
Cook for 1 minute and remove from heat
Off the fire, add 40 g of roasted and crushed peanuts
